As part of our "Fabrics and Fibres" Topic we have been finding out about tapa cloth. We looked at some examples of Samoan tapa cloth to see what sorts of designs might be used. We then created our own patterns by cutting out and tracing around our own shapes, and then flipping or rotating them. Can you work out which designs have been created by flipping shapes? Can you see which designs have been made by rotating shapes? Which designs have some uniquely Kiwi pictures?!
